1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 packet active dry yeast
1 cup milk
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
8 oz cream cheese
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Instructions
In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, and yeast.
Warm the milk and butter until melted, then let cool.
Add the milk mixture and egg to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
Knead the dough for 5-10 minutes until smooth, then let rise until doubled in size.
Meanwhile, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and lemon juice until smooth.
Once dough has risen, roll out and cut into circles.
Place a dollop of cheesecake filling in the center of each dough circle.
Fold dough over and pinch to seal, then let rise again.
Bake at 375°F for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
