  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg yolk (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  3. Mix in flour, softened butter, and egg until a dough forms. Knead until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  5. Prepare the cheesecake filling by mixing cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.
  6. Roll out the dough, cut into circles, place a dollop of filling on each, then fold the dough over and seal.
  7. Place buns on a baking sheet, brush with egg wash, and bake for 20-25 minutes.
