1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
16 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup caramel sauce
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, sugar, and melted butter. Press this mixture into the bottom of a greased 9-inch springform pan.
In another bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla and mix until well combined.
Pour the cream cheese mixture over the brownie base and smoothen the top.
Drizzle caramel sauce over the cheesecake layer and use a knife to swirl it together slightly.
If desired, sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set.
Allow to cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate cocoa powder.
Feel free to add more caramel sauce on top for extra sweetness.
